Jennifer Tilly, who is apparently hard core, doesn't like her current fan base. She thinks they are stupid, and I don't want to get into it too much, but I'm pretty sure she's racist:
JENNIFER Tilly says her persona as an ultracool indie actress was destroyed by "Bride of Chucky," in which she plays the sexy lover of a repulsive, homicidal doll. "When I go to Popeye's Fried Chicken in L.A., they give me free biscuits because they love [it]," she tells the debut issue of Dune magazine. "When I had to go to the courthouse and was going through the X-ray machine, the guys are like 'Bride of Chucky, Bride of Chucky!' . . . Before that my fans were more intellectual."
So the folks at Popeye's and the guy's working security at the courthouse are not desired fans for Jennifer Tilly. Hmmmm...interesting. It's an age old conundrum: what must one do to gain the respect they deserve in any of the popular fried chicken fast food chains? Sure, at Taco Bell and McDonald's they know her from her uncredited role in The Doors, and she can't walk into a Burger King without having them shout "It's Gina! From that...half a season of Hill Street Blues in the early 80's!" But Popeye's just wont' see her for what she really is. Of course, from what I can tell, "what she really is" is a lot of voices in my son's favorite movies. Ye Gods, IMDB can be such a cruel mistress, eh Mrs Chucky?
