Scott Stapp, shown above doing something incomprehensibly pretentious, was arrested yesterday for domestic assault at his home in Florida. The former Creed frontman and his wife have as yet refused to comment, but I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to hear the details.
A spokesman for the sheriff's office said there were no injuries and no one was taken to the hospital. No information has been reported concerning physical violence.
Stapp and former Miss New York, Jaclyn Nesheiwat were married last year at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami. They currently make their home in Florida. Nesheiwat as so far refused to comment on the incident, other than saying, "It's just a rough time."
I wonder if they put Scott Stapp in plain old jail, or if, realizing that he created his own prison, they give him a special dispensation. Hyuck hyuck. I'll be here all week.
Seriously, though, I love that this happened, because it gives me a chance to reference what may be the best celebrity assault story I've ever heard. In it, Scott Stapp encounters the band 311 at a hotel bar, gets drunk, and then punches one of their wives in the face. Honestly. It doesn't get any better than that.
